Duties of the GS-11:
Responsible for a variety of developmental assignments in order to broaden skills and provide experience for progressively more complex assignments. The incumbent continues to gain experience and to develop their knowledge, skill and abilities through the completion of more complex assignments and the exercise of increasing authority and responsibility. The incumbent will gradually assume all the duties and responsibilities of those described in the full performance position description for the Program Specialist, GS-12. Duties of the GS-12:
Responsible for support to the Chief, HAS for the entire management of CCSC program from all administrative functions. Prepares verbal and written responses to inquiries and complaints of Veterans and congressional staff regarding coding and revenue policies for the purpose of solving problems, explaining procedures, and recommending various courses of action (if necessary). Functions independently by applying National HIM guidelines and guidance provided by the incumbent's supervisor to assist with any and all administrative needs the program. Works on highly confidential and complex projects and special studies with Service Chief input. Assists in providing performance measures for performance standards to aid in performance evaluations. Develops competency assessments in coordination with the supervisor based on system development and process changes. Provides administrative support to Coding Supervisors/Leads by aiding in the selection, training and evaluation of section employees and other duties as assigned. Promotion Potential:
The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-9. For the GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. . The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-9 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization OR, Education:
You must have 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M, if related. OR, Combination:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
