Prior coaching experience required.

The Director of Athletics and Student Activities is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Lebanon School District Athletic Program as well as coordinating district-wide student activities, ensuring students have a wide range of school activities to participate in based on interests and needs.
assuring that the athletic program meets the requirements of all federal, state and PIAA regulations.
establishing and maintaining good sportsmanship standards at all athletic events and ensuring fair and respectful treatment of all student athletes.
Performance
Responsibilities:
The Director of Athletics and Student Activities will:
Organize and administer a program of extracurricular athletics, both intramural and interscholastic, for the district.
Provide leadership in the selection, assignment, and evaluation of athletic coaches and staff members.
Maintain a program that promotes good sportsmanship and student character development.
Oversee seasonal meetings with coaches to review policies, procedures, budget, and expectations.
Foster good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic program and related events.
Assume responsibility for the organization and scheduling of all interscholastic athletic events.
Hire athletic officials, team physicians, and security as required, and assume general responsibility for the proper supervision of home games.
Resolve all disciplinary matters and attendance requirements for athletes.
Arrange transportation for athletic contest participants.
Develop and place into operation appropriate rules and regulations governing the conduct of athletic activities.
Verify each athlete's eligibility according to established Lebanon School District policy and PIAA regulations regarding physical and academic requirements of eligibility for participation in each sport.
Prepare and administer the athletic program budget.
Requisition program supplies and equipment.
Supervise all ticket sales and fund-raising events of the athletic program and assume responsibility for proper handling of funds.
Arrange all details of visiting teams' needs, including lodging, meals, towels, gymnasium services, and field assistance, as appropriate.
Plan for non-school use of playing fields and facilities.
Arrange field and gym practice schedules.
Provide for the physical examination of all athletes prior to the beginning of each season.
Administer the insurance program covering school athletes and assume responsibility for all processing of reports and claims.
Keeps records of the results of all junior and senior high school athletic contests and maintains a record of all award winners, stating the date and type of award, including athletic scholarships.
Direct an in-school, extracurricular program designed to foster support for the athletic team and school spirit among non-participants.
Plan and supervise an annual recognition program for school athletes.
Attend required District III meetings and regularly scheduled Lancaster-Lebanon League meetings.
Demonstrate sound professional judgment and personal integrity.
Evaluate teaching and support staff members as assigned.
Participate in the planning and implement school improvement plans.
Additional responsibilities as assigned by the High School Principal.
Terms of Employment:
245-day annual work calendar Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
Benefits as per Act 93 agreement.
